Founded by the Legendary Chip Foose
Chip Foose was born in California and cars were definitely in his blood. He started working for his father’s design business at the age of just 7, and 5 years later he painted his first car, a Porsche 356.
Chip started FOOSE Design in 1984, an automotive design and development company that specialises in illustration, graphics, ideation, model making, surfacing and complete construction of vehicles and automotive related products.
His career following this was astonishing and includes –
- Director of Design for the Asha Corporation
- Automotive Designer at Stehrenberger Design
- Chief Designer & Fabricator of Electric Vehicles at Baker Sportronics which are used in the NFL and MLB
- Working with his father, designing and building street rods, customs, studio vehicles and show cars for films such as Blade Runner, RoboCop, and Gone in 60 Seconds.
After decades in the industry, Chip then started his own line of FOOSE Wheels offering both a 1 piece cast range, and also 2 and 3 piece custom forged wheels.
All FOOSE Wheels are hand drawn by Chip then engineered and manufactured by both MHT Wheels and Metalsport Wheels. They’re designed for everything from hot rods through to sleek muscle cars and modern trucks and SUVs.

The Knuckle is a unique twin 5 spoke design suited for old school muscle, drag and hot rod vehicles. It is available in 17″ and 18″, in either full chrome or textured grey with diamond lip finish.
